In 1975, famed oceanographer Jacques Cousteau discovered the Britannic's wreckage in the Kea Channel, off the coast of the Greek island of Kea. At the time, the Britannic had spent 59 years on the ocean floor and was (and still is) in good shape. 20 years would pass before the Britannic was re-visited, by Dr Robert Ballard, who is best known to discovering the wreck of the Britannic's older sister ship, the Titanic. Further expeditions to the Britannic have shown that the wreck's condition has remained the same.
